Life can get tough and overwhelming. It can feel like being submerged after a rough wave. That’s where I come in, to help you navigate the waves. As your therapist I am interested in exploring your strengths and resources and how we can utilize them to build solutions. My Therapy Style: I believe a positive connection is important for the therapeutic process to be beneficial, which is why I value creating a safe environment built on collaboration, warmth, and understanding. I believe every person is the author of their own story. Sometimes life events, cultural messages, or painful experiences try to write chapters for us that don’t fit who we truly are. My role is not to “fix” others, but to join you in exploring the stories that have shaped your life and to uncover the strengths, values, and hopes that have always been present, even if they’ve been overshadowed. Past patients have sought help for Life transitions, navigating anxiety, difficulty moving forward from past trauma, and trouble in their relationships. Together, we were able to create a shift in their relationship with their problems or interpersonal relationships. Patients also found a clear sense of their values and steps they can take to move towards their preferred future. I’m very experimental. I’ve been told my sessions are filled with plot twists and are “entertaining in the best way possible.” If you would like to work together, please reach out to schedule an appointment. Clinical Interests: I am passionate about working with individuals & couples who are navigating the unique challenges that arise when going through life such as depression, anxiety, grief, trauma, and life's many other stressors. I am trained in Solution Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Collaborative Therapy, ACT, IFS, and tailor my approach to your unique needs. I believe in taking things one session at a time, learning together what works for you. It takes bravery to begin to untangle the knots in our lives, and I'd be honored to be a part of this process with you. If you're ready to get started, let's get you scheduled. ⚡️ Super strength: Loves being creative, brings warmth and curiosity into every conversation, has confidence and leadership. 🍵 Hobbies: Drawing, drinking matcha, reading, going on mindful walks, and spending time with loved ones. 🪄 Fun fact: Can probably spend all day watching Studio Ghibli movies; they are my comfort movie. I also have a weenie dog named Albus. yes! After Albus Dumbledore :)

Therapy can sometimes feel a little intimidating, or even like a big challenge, but that’s completely normal, and you don’t have to face it alone. I aim to create a comfortable, welcoming space where you can grow, explore your goals, and celebrate your progress. Everyone’s journey looks a little different, and I’m excited to walk alongside you as we work toward your personal milestones. In our sessions, we work collaboratively, you’re the expert on your own life, and I bring tools to help navigate challenges and uncover hidden strengths. While I often use Solution-Focused Therapy, I tailor the process to what works best for you, making sure our work fits your unique needs and goals. I’ve had the chance to support teens, and adults through life transitions, and stressors such as depression, and anxiety. As well as supporting couples and families in resolving conflicts and building stronger connections. Each experience has deepened my commitment to making therapy a space where you feel at ease exploring your thoughts and experiences. I’m also passionate about making therapy accessible and comfortable for the Spanish-speaking community

Life is full of challenges that feel impossible to face alone. The good news is that you don't have to! I hope to join you on this sometimes scary path by helping you realize your strengths and the opportunities ahead. It is imperative to me that I provide a safe and welcoming environment for you to begin your journey. A bit about me, I graduated from St. Edward's University in 2018 and moved to Seoul, South Korea as a teacher. While teaching, I realized that I enjoyed talking to my students more than teaching them, which led me to find my passion, counseling. When I returned to America, I pursued my master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at UTSA. I have previous experience working in private practice and the hospital setting. My specialties include the LGBTQ+ community, trauma, teens, athletes, and life changes. I believe in a collaborative approach to counseling. I might have the degree, but you are the expert in your life! I enjoy using a variety of theories in counseling, especially person-centered and relational-cultural theory. I am endlessly enthusiastic about this job and hope to accompany you on your journey. ⚡️Super strength: I am open-minded and love working with a variety of people! 🌸 Hobbies: I love all things nerdy, I'm a big reader and gamer! I have also recently started crocheting again. I usually spend time with my family, friends, and sweet rescue dog. ✨ Fun Fact: I am an Irish citizen and would love to move there one day! I love to travel and experience new cultures.

From a young age, I dreamed of becoming a counselor. My desire was rooted in a profound need to help others navigate their personal struggles, a reflection of my own experiences seeking control amidst chaos. This passion remained steadfast, even as the course of my life shifted in unexpected ways. After completing graduate school, I was led to enlist in the U.S. Army, a path filled with unique challenges and opportunities.Regardless of the positions I held over the years, my natural inclination was always to help those around me. Through active listening and meaningful conversations, I found fulfillment in resolving conflicts, healing organizational relationships, and fostering safe spaces for my colleagues. Connecting with people outside the clinical world while working in the government sector enriched my understanding of adversity and enabled me to witness firsthand the many challenges people face throughout life. This perspective, combined with my own lived experiences, shaped my approach to supporting those in need. As I enter a new phase of my own life, an additional focus has become supporting the transitions that come with aging. These include adapting to physical changes, embracing retirement, and adjusting to life as an empty nester. I believe that we are all interconnected, and my role now is to help others navigate these transitions successfully. My journey has come full circle, bringing me back to counseling with a wealth of experience to share. I am dedicated to helping you make your journey through life's transitions a successful and fulfilling one.
Our Mission
At Aligned Mind Counseling, our mission is to foster a therapeutic space where individuality is celebrated, creativity is encouraged, and personal growth is cultivated. We believe in providing a safe and inclusive space where each person's unique journey is honored and embraced. Our dedicated team of compassionate counselors are committed to guiding individuals, couples, and families towards self-discovery. We value the inherent strength within each individual, recognizing that the path to well-being is as diverse as the individuals we have the privilege to serve.
More Than Just Therapy
At AMC, we believe in offering more than just therapy. Our approach encompasses holistic care, tailored to address the unique needs of each individual. We provide a supportive environment where clients can explore personal growth, develop coping strategies, and enhance their overall well-being. Beyond therapy, we integrate various techniques and resources, including mindfulness, wellness coaching, and community-building activities, to foster a comprehensive path toward healing and self-discovery.
Lastly, we see our work as a protest to “cookie-cutter” therapist. We want to change the narrative about mental health being sterile and clean like the medical model — who strive to diagnose some kind of “illness” as a starting point for helping. We believe that therapy is a place where one should be their true authentic self and therapy should be tailored to the individual.
